site set in 36 acres of parkland. Legend has it that King Arthur
was buried here.

St.Michael's Church stands on the summit which stands at 525 feet

The Tor is a short walk from
the town (A361). The Tor Bus operates a park and ride scheme from
St.Dunstan's car park during the summer months.
The land's 'spirit of place' can
also be felt on the summit of Wearyall Hill, where
Joseph of Arimathea reputedly planted 'the Holy
Thorn'. Accessible from Roman Way/Hillhead and Street Road.
Somerset Levels & Moors are
a special place for flowers and wildlife. It is the finest remaining
lowland in Britain of international importance. Discover Celtic
Glastonbury at the Peat Moors Visitor Centre at Westhay. Nomadic
folk lived in the wetland during the summer when the water levels
were low and this gave rise to the name, Sumersaeta or 'Land of
the Summer People.'
